Melissa is currently pursuing her B.Comm in accounting at John Molson School of Business, Concordia University. She joined Litwin CPA Inc. in October 2015 and looks forward to continue growing professionally with the firm. As a junior accountant, Melissa provides assistance in a variety of accounting and personal income tax matters. She also supports the professional accountants involved with voluntary disclosures and non-resident tax returns for artists performing in Canada.

Melissa is involved in the Young Chinese Professional Association. She participates in helping new immigrants, elderly individuals, low-income tax payers and students from the Asian Community to prepare their personal income tax returns. Her experiences in volunteering and tutoring, demonstrates her commitment to the community and dedication towards helping others. In addition to speaking French and English, Melissa also speaks Mandarin, Cantonese, and Vietnamese.

Janna Basilico - B.Comm, CPA candidate

Full Details

Janna joined Litwin CPA Inc. in September 2016. She received her B.Comm in Accounting, at Concordia University's John Molson School of Business and is currently pursuing the CPA designation. She graduated as a member of the Institute for Co-operative education and gained experience in multiple industries, while being a student at JMSB, including aerospace (Bombardier), real-estate (Canderel), and retail (Le Chateau).

Janna is involved in providing support to the professional accountants at Litwin CPA Inc. She also assists in the preparation of educational presentations, such as the financial literacy program at the Jewish public library and Atwater public library. She is looking forward to the upcoming tax season and continuing to grow professionally with the firm.

Janna also works closely with the community, participating in the CRA’s Income Tax Volunteer Program via Concordia University to provide professional assistance in the preparation of income tax returns for low-income tax payers.
